چکیده

Interaction of glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl)-glycine) with six polyamines (ethylendiamine, cadaverine, putrescine, triethylenetetramine, spermine, and tetraethylenepentamine) was studied potentiometrically. Several species of different stoichiometry are formed in the various systems, according to the general formation reaction i1 (j 2 3) (i 1 j 2 3) AH 1 H (glp) 5 A(glp)H i j i 1 j (where A 5 amine and glp 5 glyphosate). The complex species formed are always A(glp)Hr 2 3) with r 5 1 . . . (n 1 2) (n 5 maximum degree of protonation of amines). The stability of various complexes is a linear function of charges involved in the formation reaction, and can be expressed as logKij 5 0.9(60.2)z (where z 5 i[3 2 j]). From the temperature dependence of formation constants, DH0 (and TDS0) values have been obtained. Formation percentages of mixed glyphosate–polyammonium cation complexes are relevant also in low concentration conditions, and this means that these species may play a significant role in the speciation of natural fluids containing the reactants. Application of polyammonium cations to enzyme-immobilized electrode: voltammetric behavior of polycation-hexacyanoferrate anion complexes and applicability as electron-transfer mediator.

Cyclic voltammograms of the aqueous solution containing polyammonium cations and the [Fe(CN)6]4-. anion at a plastic-formed carbon or platinum electrode were recorded. Polyammonium salts comprising quaternary ammonium in the main chain or sub chain and those comprising primary ammonium were tested. Under certain conditions, well-developed anodic and cathodic peak currents with the midpoint pote...

Glyphosate-Manganese Interactions in Roundup Ready Soybean

Shortly after the introduction of Roundup Ready (RR) soybean questions arose whether these varieties and/or glyphosate applications to them alter manganese (Mn) relations compared to conventional soybean varieties. It is well documented that certain cations, including Mn, can reduce the performance of glyphosate when the cations are present in water used as a carrier. The complexes formed betwe...

Uptake of Glyphosate by an Arthrobacter sp.

The uptake of glyphosate (N-[phosphonomethyl]glycine) by an Arthrobacter sp. which can utilize this herbicide as its sole source of phosphorus was investigated. Orthophosphate suppressed the expression of the uptake system for glyphosate and also competed with glyphosate for uptake. The K(m) for glyphosate uptake was 125 muM, and the K(i) for orthophosphate was 24 muM. Organophosphonates as wel...

Glyphosate and ATP binding by mononuclear Zn(II) complexes with non-symmetric ditopic polyamine ligands.

Binding of Zn(II) by the ditopic ligands L1py, L2py and L1para, composed of a cyclam unit linked to the linear polyamines 1,4,8,11-tetraazaundecane (L1py and L2para) and 1,4,7-triazaheptane (L2py) via a 2,6-dimethylpyridinyl (L1py and L2py) or a 1,4-dimethylbenzyl spacer (L2para), has been analyzed by means of potentiometric and (1)H and (13)C NMR measurements. All ligands form stable mononucle...

5-Enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase from Staphylococcus aureus is insensitive to glyphosate.

The enzyme 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) catalyzes the penultimate step of the shikimate pathway, and is the target of the broad-spectrum herbicide glyphosate. Kinetic analysis of the cloned EPSPS from Staphylococcus aureus revealed that this enzyme exerts a high tolerance to glyphosate, while maintaining a high affinity for its substrate phosphoenolpyruvate. Enzymatic act...
